Jay Reatard – EU / UK Tour Dates 2009

Jay Reatard: Since the release of the debut album from his first band, The Reatards, back when he was only seventeen, Jay (from Memphis, Tennessee) has redefined the word prolific by clocking up fifteen further album releases with various bands as well as one solo album, the mind-blowing ‘Blood Visions’ (In The Red, 2006). In spite of the long string of dead punk band carcasses, people are only starting to notice Jay’s insane talent. Hot shit in his homeland, expectation for his forthcoming European tour is close to fever pitch and he’s recently just signed a long-term deal with Matador Records who released six 7” singles in quick succession through the summer of 2008 and for those not hung up on collecting, a compilation release of them followed later in the year.
