Basement Sound Radio – Underground Music Radio based in Stourbridge, West Midlands.
Underground music station, Basement Sound Radio (BSR) has topped its record this month by reaching over a quarter of a million listeners. Orginally set up as a basic music podcast, BSR was transformed into a radio show and launched on 28 October 2008 – its aim, to provide an alternative to mainstream music entertainment shows by playing more current, unorthadox and unsigned bands. The playlist is fused with original, satirical commentary and informative insight by top underground presenters. Shows such as ‘Metal Time’ and ‘The Alan Neill Rock Show’ are heard in over 30 different countries and offer the listener maximum thrills and bands a dedicated platform to potentially launch their careers.
Chris Murphy, producer and founder of Basement Sound Radio, said “We are delighted to have reached so many listeners. Its great to think that we kept our faithful followers since we launched and have gained so many more. It just goes to show that there are a lot of people out there who want to know more about the underground music scene”.

Founded January 1, 2005 and operated as a project of the John Sinclair Foundation, Radio Free Amsterdam is a grass-roots experiment in internet radio designed to create our own radio station with unique music & arts programming contributed by independent broadcast producers from around the world and beamed out from our underground headquarters in Amsterdam over our 24-hour live broadcast stream and as regular podcasts that remain archived on the Radio Free Amsterdam website
John Sinclair Radio Show Is the flagship of Radio Free Amsterdam. Created in Amsterdam by the award-winning broadcast producer in November 2004, the John Sinclair Radio Show presents an hour each week of the host’s unique mix of roots music, timely commentary and spontaneous conversation with a galaxy of guest musicians, artists and cultural activists emanating from the coffeeshops, nightspots and cultural centers of Amsterdam and from diverse locations throughout the Western world.
