Iron Man Records will be at Moseley Record Fair on Sunday 3rd December 2023
People go to record fairs for a variety of reasons. Some go to buy and sell rare or hard-to-find Vinyl, CDs, cassettes, and other music-related items. Others go to discover new music, explore different genres or eras of music, or to meet friends or network with other music enthusiasts. I like the social aspect of going to a record fair, browsing through collections, listening to music, and meeting like-minded individuals who also share an unhinged passion for music. Iron Man Records will be at Moseley Record Fair on Sunday 3rd December 2023. MOSELEY ALL SERVICES CLUB, 91 Church Road, Moseley, BIRMINGHAM, B13 9EA. 12pm–4pm. FREE ADMISSION! John Sinclair – Mohawk
John Sinclair - “Mohawk” CD Out Now on Iron Man Records, Birmingham. Distribution by Cargo John Sinclair, the renegade poet, scholar and cultural revolutionary released his latest album in March 2014. John, has been described as an Archetype of the 1960's art, music and literary synthesis, and who today, is still kicking with both feet on his trajectory for cultural transformation. His record features ten tracks from his book of verse: always know: a book of monk. Twenty poems planted firmly in a single-shot session, and carefully trimmed down to ten exhibits for this album. Beatnik poems, great odes and personal reflections of the Be-Bop jazz persuasion, all flowering together. First…
Police Bastard – “It’s Good To Hate” CD distributed by Cargo
Police Bastard - "It's Good To HATE" distributed by Cargo - October 6th 2014 “Police Bastard – ‘It’s Good To Hate’ CD and DVD Four new tracks and one cover here and its typical Police Bastard…powerful, inspiring, hardcore punk with passionate vocals (incidentally, when did Stu-Pid grow up and come just plain ‘Pid’?!). If any changes are noticeable since their original incarnation, then it’s probably a bit more metal influenced, with the occasional guitar screech and more Doom-esque growls of anguish, but apart from that its good as ever and especially that ‘Pid’ is back on vocals. The cover is The Mob’s ‘I Wish’ which, after the gentle intro, gets the…

Video by CHU on the making of 360 degree artwork for "Mohawk" by John Sinclair
"I sketched the entire world and digitised it inside Google's Sketchup, where this three dimensional, three hundred and sixty degree artwork could spring to life. This sketch can be viewed from almost anywhere and the result is a multi-dimensional drawing - a million sketches worth. When making a normal two dimensional drawing, changing the viewpoint requires a completely new sketch - this way, the sketch allows plenty of freedom for the viewer and there are a sickening amount of permutations. This economy in the production stemmed from the need to pay tribute to, as close as possible, the location and setting for the photoshoot on the cover of Thelonius Monk's Undeground…
