Update: The Project to Uncover Ancient Hill Figures

TC Lethbridge’s claims regarding the existence of Ancient Hill Figures on Wandlebury Hill in Cambridgeshire caused significant controversy within the archaeological community. Most archaeologists believed that Lethbridge had erroneously misidentified a natural feature. Lethbridge’s methodology and theories were widely deemed unorthodox, and in turn he became increasingly critical of the archaeological profession.

Ancient Hill Figures, Wandlebury Hill, Cambridge

The area of Wandlebury Hill has been described as a neolithic ritual landscape. The drawing below was shown to me by Gary Brown, an Iron Man Records Patron, across the table in a Pub. It’s Wandlebury Ring, Cambridgeshire. There’s a lot more to Wandlebury Country Park than meets the eye.

The Project to Uncover Ancient Hill Figures

I went to a meeting on 21st January 2026 at The Kings Head, Fen Ditton, Cambridge. I wanted to meet up with all those involved with Flinton Chalk and to discuss TC Lethbridge, Artwork, and the ongoing project to uncover Ancient Hill Figures at Wandlebury. I can’t diclose too much detail here, it’s all top secret. Things seem to be progressing since the ground penetrating Radar Survey, and Flinton is pleased with what has been achieved so far. It turns out there is also a new book on the way, about TC Lethbridge, and the author is an Iron Man Records Patron, Gary Brown. I didn’t even realise until he introduced himself across the table. I met Andy who was travelling with Gary who is a film maker, and Michelle, Archaeological & Historical Consultant and Simon, Archaeologist. Flinton Chalk led the meeting with unstoppable enthusiasm. There was a lot to talk about.

The project is at a critical stage with some people supporting it, some people opposing it, and with new achaelogical evidence coming to light, Flinton is keen to keep a lid on all public discussion until the project is through the danger zone and into the “tell everyone about it” phase. Stay tuned.

Here’s a picture of Michelle, Simon, Gary, Flinton, Me, and Andy. John Higgs has all sorts of issues coming up the road. The £100 bet is still on. This is what one of the Wandlebury Country Park information boards says, it gives you an idea how Flinton and the team working on the project are perceived….

I will post more updates about the project when Flinton gives me the all clear to share details. But either way, we are all a fringe group, or those involved in the occult. Sounds good to me. Make of that what you will.

The skeleton of a young 6ft 5in-tall (1.9m) Viking-era man who had undergone trepanation has been found in a mass grave. A hole had been bored in his skull while he was alive. It had signs of healing before his remains were flung into a burial pit with nine other men, some dismembered.

Viking-era burial pit filled with decapitated and mutilated bodies including ‘giant’ with ‘hole in his skull’ is found on outskirts of British city https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-15526497/Viking-burial-pit-filled-decapitated-mutilated-bodies.html

Decapitated and mutilated bodies were discovered in a gruesome Viking-age burial pit. Students have made the rare discovery of an ancient grave on the outskirts of Cambridge. The pit contains the remains of at least 10 people who are thought to be either Vikings or Saxons, dating from around the ninth century AD.

Simon who is working with Flinton says: “I guess most of you have now seen the Digging for Britain piece on the latest Wandlebury finds. Seems likely the half dozen skeletons thrown into the pit are either Saxons or Vikings, or prisoner killings (decaps). The ‘giant’ guy is interesting..as Ben says he prob had a pituitary tumour, and that the successful trepanation into his skull was to try and relieve symptoms. Didn’t save him though from the inevitable. Reality is more interesting than the hill figures..it seems!”
