How to live a psychedelic life with the poet and activist John Sinclair

July 26, 2016

John Sinclair at 12 Bar Club, London, Sunday 11th May 2014

Psychedelia with John Sinclair
Stuart Maconie’s Freak Zone

Stuart finds out how to live a psychedelic life with the poet and activist John Sinclair as BBC Music’s My Generation celebrates the 1960s. John Sinclair is best known for his jazz poetry, managing the rock band MC5 and being a founding member of the White Panther party in the late 1960s. Stuart chats to him about the creative philosophies behind psychedlia and how to open your mind.

Punk Britannia – UK Punk and Ska on Internet Radio Thursdays 7am-8am UK Time

May 8, 2010

Here’s some news from Paul at American internet radio station Punk Rock Demonstration.

“I have just started my own show on American internet radio station Punk Rock Demonstration (www.punkrockdemo.com)

My hourly show goes out on Thursdays at 11pm to Midnight (California time), which is 7am to 8am UK time.

I play UK Punk and Ska and the show is called Punk Britannia.

I would appreciate it if you could spread the word to any bands that you are involved and ask them to send MP3s to
paulaitch.punk at yahoo.co.uk if they would like to be featured on the show.

I came to your website after Police Bastard sent me some tracks.

I have a myspace site (albeit not very well pimped) where there is information regarding sending CDs if that’s what bands prefer to do. www.myspace.com/paulaitchpunk

Here’s the podcast of the latest show to give you a flavour http://cdn4.libsyn.com/sandbox/Punk_Britannia_Show_3.mp3?nvb=20100413231010&nva=20100414232010&t=0447a50219a5e4c863141

April 13, 2010

Music World Radio banner Small

This week sees Part 3 of the Mouth of God’s journey into the unknown…presented by one of Birmingham’s most active Agitators…..Neil, aka DJ Sir Real…with, as you might expect, a fine selection of wrongness, weirdness, beauty, cosmic anthems, bad disco, mutant techno, funny talk and hoo-haa…

So that’s tonight, Tuesday 13th April, starting at 22:00 GMT

Neil would be very chuffed indeed if some of you would like to join him for the journey…and please feel free to circulate wide and far to spread the wrongness 🙂

Go to http://www.musicworldradio.com

Sir Real will definitely be in Club Impulse in Second Life this week for some chat and flying and stupid dancing and ill-advised clothes…you can check that out here – http://secondlife.com/?v=1.1
