Oceans in Her Eyes

I’m lost within her blue green eyes

And her cool clear water skin

She’s like the dawn that opens far out to sea

Over silver shoals that gently rise on the tide

Within the slow tide of her lamplight

I watch the moths begin to rise

Her beauty washes all around me

I’m lost upon the oceans in her eyes

She keeps the secrets to the ocean

The secrets one day she’ll set free

She spins her web from threads of amber sun

As she disappears into the sea

Within the slow tide of her lamplight

I watch the moths begin to rise

Her beauty washes all around me

I’m lost upon the oceans in her eyes

She’s like a whirlpool

She consumes desire

She’s like a whirlpool

A consuming fire

I’m lost upon the oceans in her eyes
