John Sinclair the renegade poet, scholar and cultural revolutionary releases his new album on Iron Man Records on Monday 24th March 2014.
While his work has continued in preparation for this, John found himself at Dial House, home of Crass members Penny Rimbaud and Gee Vaucher in December. John wanted to work on some new recordings at Dial house with The Bermondsey Joyriders who in turn will be in Birmingham in coming months. After many years working hard in their respective fields, John finally had a chance to have a good chat with Penny. Discussions of music, art and the rest followed before Penny gave John a book of his latest poetry and its all John’s been reading for the past few days. John has also been working on a short video documentary about his new record of the same name called Mohawk and has completed a show for Radio Free Amsterdam remembering the John Sinclair Freedom Rally in Ann Arbor on 10th Dec 1971. Look out for John talking about how he first started working with MC5 and how it all ended in the next issue of Mojo and there should be an interesting piece in Uncut too on the subject of Jazz, Blues and all things John Sinclair.
