Whoever controls the internet servers, controls the intellectual record of humankind. And by controlling the intellectual record of humankind, you control our perceptions of who we are. When all music is digital, all independence will cease. Iron Man Records would like to release all new music on Vinyl.
“The primary goal of government propaganda is to undermine our faith in everything. Not just our belief in particular stories in the news, but our trust in the people who are telling the stories, the platforms, and fact-based reality itself.”- Douglas Rushkoff
Thank you for your support if you are already a Patron. The next task is to find the others. Please share Iron Man Records on Patreon as widely as you can.
While you are here, enjoy this compilation of more than 23 years work. Listen to Death To Fanatics – The story of Iron Man Records Compilation 1999-2023.
As music listening habits have changed, so too has everything in the marketplace. Income streams that once supported musicians and all those involved, have become increasingly difficult to access and maintain. Making new music is expensive, and some artists can wait 20 years to get any return on their work. Some never see any return at all.
Musicians face brutal working conditions. The cost of living crisis, the ongoing impact of a global Pandemic, and Brexit all threaten the future of independent music making. Recent research from Help Musicians confirms that 9 out of ten musicians are worried about being able to afford food to eat, and more than 80% are concerned about paying their bills, rent or mortgage. Close to half of all professional musicians think they may be forced to leave the industry altogether. Musicians desperately need a broad range of support to help them navigate the financial, career-building and mental health challenges they currently face.
Iron Man Records works hard to give music, and the musicians who make it, a value. A little financial help from you, and others, could make a big difference at a critical time. By supporting Iron Man Records as a Patron you will help the record label to continue to release new music.
Here are 23 examples of music and work that was almost lost forever. With the help and support of Patrons, Iron Man Records was able to rescue, recover and present all of these for everyone to enjoy….Imagine what else could be achieved if everyone who reads this signed up as a Patron and gave just £1 a month?
The work continues. I hope the support of Patrons will continue and together we can make amazing things happen.
Thank you for your interest and support. Please share Iron Man Records on Patreon as widely as you can. Let’s try and get to 150 Patrons this year so work can begin releasing more records on Vinyl.
In other news, most of the Patreon Tiers now offer a FREE Trial. If you want to join in and find out what it’s all about, now is the time.
Music will find a way. United we stand. We have to make the world we want to live in. Try to stay positive and there’s good things ahead. All we have to do now is find the others to share with.
