Born out of Birmingham's original punk group The Prefects, the Nightingales have stubbornly ploughed their own furrow in the field of alternative rock n roll for three decades. 2006 saw the release of "Out Of True" on Iron Man Records and the return of a reformed Nightingales after some years away. While his work has continued in preparation for this, John found himself at Dial House, home of Crass members Penny Rimbaud and Gee Vaucher in December. John wanted to work on some new recordings at Dial house with The Bermondsey Joyriders who in turn will be in Birmingham in coming months.
